Executive Director Message

I want to begin this message with lots of gratitude for the amazing journey that I have been on at Ventures for more than two years of my career. The Fidel Birhan Charitable Organization /FBCO/ a rapidly emerging nonprofit organization in Ethiopia. it is a board-led, volunteer-based, non-governmental charitable organization which was established in September 2020 by professionals from different backgrounds including national and international NGOs, UN agencies and government offices (the Fidel Family) who came together to serve their community engaging in development, humanitarian and peace building initiatives. FBCO aims to improve the socio-economic problems of the country by designing and implementing innovative, evidence-based, impact-driven, culturally appropriate, and community-based interventions. Education, Youth Empowerment, Peace and Democracy Building, Environmental Protection, and Access to Justice are the strategic priorities of the organization. As I reflect on the last two and a half years, I am so proud of what we have been able to accomplish, creating a stronger community through the establishment of the comprehensive learning center, Mobile Reading center, rehabilitation of conflict throughout North Wollo, and even across Enhancing Women Engagement in Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution across North Wollo Zone of Amhara region for individuals with limited resources and unlimited potential.Omega Planet Ocean Replica

FBCO has addressed the needs of over a hundred thousand marginalized community members in Ethiopia, particularly children, youth, and women—who are the major target groups in all of FBCO’s intervention areas. FBCO is a learning organization and will never stop learning and looking into new ideas and development directions in order to work towards a better future for the target community. I am very proud to be a part of FBCO’s team and to work for those needed support.fake watches

Our organizational governance makes sure that the beneficiaries are confident that FBCO was founded on their behalf and is really looking out for their best interests. Our projects are designed to assist communities in implementing successful and sustainable development efforts, establish effective leadership for development ideas, and provide community organizations with the necessary skills and knowledge for economic and social empowerment.

We always seek to encourage networking and connections with other CSO’s, Privet Sectors and Governmental bodies. I would like to express the appreciation of the Board to all of our contributors and supporters who have made it possible for FBCO to make a difference in the lives of those in need. For the benefit of our increasing community-focused interventions, we gratefully accept grants and in-kind gifts. Grant financing for specific initiatives, institutional capacity building, equipment assistance, exchange visits for sharing, and staff volunteerism are all examples of support. I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead the organization in this journey and invite you to continue walking with us as we create communities in which all individuals have equal access to opportunities and alternatives that lead to success and positive life choices.

I would like to congratulate the team at FBCO and the supporters who commit themselves to FBCO’s development in Ethiopia.
